i will post all about my trip to atlanta a little bit later in the week when i can upload my photos but i want to do a little post on some things i'm thinking about for the fall. this morning when i walked to the train it felt like such a nice early fall morning when the air feels kind of crisp but the sun is still shining on your face, warming your body. it made me realize that fall is absolutely my favorite season and although the summers in boston can never last long enough, i am definitely excited for fall.

LOVE {kelly wearstler's new blog}
I thought this was worthy of a Saturday post! Kelly Wearstler has a new blog called My Vibe My Life and I'm a little obsessed with her first post. It's a glimpse into her creative process and how she collects inspiration for each project (check out all the perfectly arranged white trays in her design studio below - LOVE!). Have a beautiful weekend!

books {kw}
I know we've said it before, but C and I are obsessed with books. We both dream of having beautiful libraries, with custom lacquer bookcases, filled with limited editions that can only be reached via a rolling library ladder.
For me, books are one of my absolute favorite sources for inspiration. I'm continually inspired by Kelly Wearstler's grandiose, colorful and over-the-top interiors, but am sad to say that I don't own any of her books yet. I'm thinking of trying to budget myself one art/design book purchase per month and would love to start with one of hers: Modern Glamour, Domicilium Decoratus, and Hue.

Anyone have a favorite??

home tour {christopher + suzanne sharp}
I love Vogue (there's just something so classic about it) and have stacks of old issues in my office. I really love when Vogue does a home feature (especially since we don't have a Vogue Living counterpart here in America) and this month it's Christopher and Suzanne Sharp, London transplants who are fearless when it comes to color. Christopher and Suzanne are the founders/owners of the Rug Company so many of the rugs in their home are of their own design or antiques that they have picked up in their travels. I especially like the 'Tracery' rug in the dining room (a design by Kelly Wearstler for the Rug Company). It has so much movement, but is very neutral in color, so I could see it working in many different spaces.

lonny love {feb/march 2010}
SO good, I love it. It's images like these that reaffirm my decision to leave financial services and switch gears towards design and decor. Visit the Feb/March issue to see it all.
