{living} room of the day

I still adore Michelle Adams' old NYC apartment. Her small space solutions are genius and I love all the coral accents.

designer {melissa warner}

I love Melissa Warner's LA apartment - featured in this months House Beautiful. The mix of colors, textures and patterns she's used is very fun and whimsical, yet elegant at the same time. She's part of the design firm Massucco Warner Miller (located in LA, San Fran and Seattle) and this is her LA pied-a-terre. She's only 30 and has had great success - definitely someone to look up to!

how amazing is this cabinet???

Great advice: "Love your closets. Paint them, paper them, hang pictures in them to inspire you. And definitely light them." - MW

stencil 101 {decor}

Stencils are a great resource for renters - they are an easy way to create pattern and interest without the commitment of wallpaper. I've realized though that it's not easy finding stencil patterns that are chic and contemporary (think outdated borders a la Grandma's house). I happened upon Stencil 101 by Ed Roth over the weekend and am definitely going to find a way to incorporate some of his designs into my new apartment. Love this subtle 'honeycomb' pattern shown here (and the space in general)... originally via Design Sponge.
