I love Vermont... it's so beautiful and the perfect country getaway for those of us who live in (or around) Boston. Whenever I travel in New England I try to stay in private inns or cute boutique hotels (like the Blue Horse Inn below - SO cute!) they have so much more charm and personality than your typical hotel. It's been a crazy week, but I'll be back with more design related posts next week. Have a gorgeous weekend!

We're heading to Maine today for some family time, antiquing, outlet shopping and a fun night out in Portland. Minus the gross rain today, I'm so excited to get away!

My little cousin just left for 8 months in the south of France. Architecture, food, fashion, art, PARIS... I'm trying insanely hard not die with jealousy (and praying that I can visit her there next spring!)

weekend recap {maine}

C and I had a fun weekend in Maine... we stopped in Kittery for some outlet shopping then drove up Rt 1 to do a little antiquing. I bought a small 1880's Victorian table at the Blacksmith's Mall in Ogunquit that I'm thinking of painting in fun, bright color (pics later). I didn't take as many pictures as I wanted to - but I did manage to snap a quick one of the amazing lobster rolls we had for lunch! Thanks to Gigi for having us :)

C and I are headed to Maine this weekend!! I'm so excited because we've been trying to plan this trip for a while now. We're staying at my grandmother's and on the way up we'll be doing a little shopping and antiquing. I'm going to do my best to take a LOT of pictures... I've been really lax on the picture taking lately - my camera is practically collecting dust. Have a BEAUTIFUL weekend!

SUCH a fun trip! Lots of swimming, tennis and golf. Now I'm busy packing up for a week in Maine. I'm hoping to find some vintage goodies for my house.. and to take tons of pictures of the pretty fall foliage. Will have my laptop so I'll be checking in!

• shop current vintage for wine, vintage clothing and jewelry and parchment for pretty stationary
• eat homemade ice cream at the juice bar
• drink at the bar at the pearl - thanks Kate! (try a cocktail with local triple eight vodka)
• enjoy an iced coffee at even keel cafe
• take a walk or bike ride to brant point (American's 2nd oldest light station)

back from vacation!

Anna Maria Island was absolutely beautiful and we had an amazing trip... very happy to be safe and sound back in Boston for Mother's Day! More this week. xo
