loving lauren liess textiles

Lauren's blog, Pure Style Home, was one of the first design blogs I started reading and she's a huge inspiration. She's a young mother, owns a great design business, and has now launched a textile line and online store - I don't know how she does it all.

Two of my faves: queen anne's bouquet and filagree chevron:

Congrats Lauren!

loving {caitlin wilson textiles}

Love Caitlin Wilson's new line of fabrics and pillows. They're colorful and fun - at a great price point too.

This navy pillow needs to be a part of my life

On a side note I'm having an awesome time at High Point Market this week. I've met a lot of awesome design bloggers and seen so many beautiful things at Hickory Chair, Oly, Robert Abbey, etc. Plus I got to hear Martyn Lawrence Bullard speak about his faaabulous new book this morning. So fun!

book wish list {live, love & decorate}

MLB's new book, Live, Love & Decorate, is coming out next month and I'm interested to see how "delicioussss" it is.

Also, I LOVE his new line for Schumacher! It was so refreshing to go into the showroom last week and see some new stuff on the racks.

"chipper" pattern from premier

Just ordered trim from M&J and a few yellow and gray fabric samples from Premier Prints. I'm especially loving this pattern and hope it will work in my bedroom somewhere.

ikea stripes

I think today was my fourth or fifth trip to Ikea in the past couple of months - between moving to a new apartment and helping my parents update a couple of rooms it's been the go to place for the basics. Love these striped fabrics I picked up today. The prices per yard are so affordable and they're going to be fabulous on throw pillows.

monday {trip to zimman's}

Today I have class 10-1 then I am heading to Zimman's - a huge fabric warehouse in Lynn. I've been once before and I'm excited to get lost in aisles and aisles of fabrics all afternoon. I only have two more weeks of class left so I'll be looking for beautiful samples for Baystate Road as well as some fun prints for the new apartment.

fabric instead of wallpaper

I've been wanting to try a project like this one for a while now. With something pretty like this? (Only way less expensive!) Hmmm...

spring palette {j.crew}

How beautiful would the fabric of this j.crew shirt be on a throw pillow? With a small hot pink houndstooth for the piping? I love the happiness of pinks and oranges for spring.

feeling gray {in a good way}

I spent the better part of my day today at Ikea looking for a few things for my house. I couldn't help but be distracted by my favorite neutral of the moment - gray. It was everywhere! Not surprising seeing as it's a hugely popular color right now. I bought a few things (like these silver frames) and I hope to share some new 'bellevue' pics tomorrow. PS - how awesome are these prices?!?

ribba frame $7.99

anita curtains $29.99
(these don't look like much here but they have a subtle
texture/pattern which is pretty up close... and this dark gray
is very enveloping & calming - very nice for a bedroom,
don't you think?)

sanela pillow cover $15
(LOVE this... velvet and so comfy)

felicia throw $9.99

cecilia fabric $5.99/yard

alvine rand rug $149

alvina trad duvet $14.99
(an interesting, 'splattered' pattern)

eco-friendly fabrics

Spent the morning scanning + organizing the new fabrics we'll be offering at martha's vineyard furniture co. Aren't they pretty? The solids are recycled chenille and the prints are either 100% cotton or cotton/linen blends. I heart my job.
