movie of the month

lindsey and i went to the museum of fine arts in boston the other day where we noticed a sign for an upcoming richard avedon exhibit which brought up the subject of classic movies. i'm a huge fan of old movies, not only for the sense of style that they have, but also because to me, people evoked such sophistication back then compared to now. thinking about these movies gave me an idea for a new blog project that i am really looking forward to. every month, i am going to watch an old film that i've never seen before and after reviewing/recapping it on the blog, i will post a style report inspired by images and scenes from each movie. wish me luck!

vintage style inspiration

whenever i watch old movies i go through a phase where i can't get enough of old hollywood glamour and become obsessed with everything vintage and chic. these are some notable fashion moments in cinematic history that appeal to me from some of my favorite movies. for those of you looking for a little more vintage in your life, i found a cool website today that focuses on shopping in boston from the early past.
