room of the day
I'm currently web searching for a little Hollywood Regency inspiration for C's 'new' apartment and this bedroom really touches on a lot of the elements I want to incorporate throughout the space - glossy black and white (always love), an upholstered headboard, exaggerated tufting, nailhead trims, striped (almost menswear-inspired) wallpaper, an x-based bench/storage ottoman, beautiful lighting and hotel-chic linens. Hollywood Regency is mostly about overstated glamour, but here it's done subtly, which is more of what I'm going for on this project. Old world beauty and glamour that is modern, yet classic and comfortable (ie; Audrey Hepburn meets Ralph Lauren?)... and with a pop of color (Andy Warhol anyone?).

"Audrey had a big personality. In the choice of her dresses, in wearing them with such elegance, chic, and simplicity. In a very personal way, she created her own look - 'The Hepburn Style'-" Hubert de Givenchy
