equestrian chic

As someone who rode horses growing up I can totally appreciate anything equestrian-inspired, and no one does it better than Ralph Lauren. Last spring he showcased the equestrian theme on the runway (above) - and I loved the fancy dresses and derby hats mixed with the traditional menswear (think riding pants and boots).

This spring he has continued the theme at RL Home through collections of paint colors and home furnishings.

The thoroughbred paint collection is inspired by the saturated colors of the 'ancestral home.' I love the deep kelly green shown in this ad - especially against the pops of white and yellow.

The modern equestrian line of home furnishings includes brightly colored pillows and lots of leather and gold finished details including this awesome 'bridle leather cocktail table.' This would look so cool in a mens lounge area (for $5,775!). Fab.
