cocktail hour

purple-basil mojito

- 2 lime wedges
- 2 sprigs fresh purple basil
- 2 tbsp light rum
- 1 tbsp simple syrup (1 part water to 1 part sugar, heat until sugar is fully dissolved then let the mixture cool completely)
- ice cubes and club soda

In a glass, muddle 1 lime wedge and basil. Fill glass with ice. Add rum and syrup. Top with club soda and stir well. Garnish with remaining lime wedge.

A refreshing twist on a great summer drink. You can also try adding cucumber!
