caipirinha
- 1 lime
- 2 oz cachaca (a Brazilian liquor - if you can't find this use a good vodka instead)
- sugar to taste
- ice cubes
Wash the lime and roll on a board or counter to loosen the juices. Cut the lime into pieces and place in a glass. Sprinkle with sugar and crush the lime (pulp side up) with a pestle to release the juice. Add the cachaca and stir to mix. Top with ice and stir well.
