cocktail hour {lemon shandies}

I had my first bud light limes of the season last weekend (thank god it's finally nice out!) so I figured why not share a flavored beer recipe? I'm not a big beer drinker so I love beer with a fruit twist.

lemon shandies

- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 fresh lemon juice, plus lemon wedges
- 8 mild pilsner (light) beers

Place eight 16 oz glasses or mugs in the freezer. In a small saucepan combine sugar and 3/4 cup water over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Refrigerate until cool.

Combine sugar mixture and lemon juice. Pour one beer into each glass and top with 1/4 cup lemon mixture. Add lemon wedges if desired and serve immediately.
