recreating historical wallpapers

Adelphia Paper Hangings is a small workshop located in Sharon Springs, NY, dedicated to reproducing wallpapers from the 18th, 19th and 20th century. The designs come from museum archives such as the Musee du Papier Peint (Museum of Wallpaper) in France, or from scraps customers find in their homes. Each pattern begins with the creation of a woodblock, which can be as large as a tabletop, depending on the size of the print. The process is very intricate and labor intensive, which is why block printing techniques for wallpaper have become a forgotten art - even in Europe, where the first printed papers were created for interior decoration as early as the 15th century.

How pretty are the designs by this Brooklyn-based artist? I'm especially smitten with these his and her bowls. I like how her pieces are varied, but coordinate well, and would make a beautiful mixed and matched set.
