room of the day {patio love}

Even though the weather in Boston lately has been tolerable at best, summer is (supposedly) right around the corner, and I can't stop obsessing over gorgeous outdoor spaces. This patio, designed and owned by Sabrina Linn (who I was reintroduced to via Mimi+Meg earlier this week), was featured in House & Home a few years ago and is entertainment perfection for a single girl like me.

I also love the classic design of Sabrina's website (and the rest of her penthouse loft is to die for too!)

designer {ruthie sommers}

I love designer Ruthie Sommers' new website... very chic! I'm a huge fan of hers - she's super talented and accomplished, yet seems to be very down to earth and honest at the same time. Definitely someone to admire and aspire to. Check out her portfolio and the bio she's written for herself.

an upcoming addition to one of boston's finest museums

one of my favorite museums in boston, the isabella stewart gardner museum, has been featured in the wall street journal. the director of the historic museum, anne hawley, is profiled in the article and speaks about the infamous heist that ocurred in 1990 and resulted in over 13 stolen artworks, including rembrant's sole seascape, "the storm on the sea of galilee". she also speaks about the $114 million expansion planned for the museum, which will open in 2012.

insider looks

i mentioned briefly sometime last week that theory has come out with a new e-commerce site, making it possible to purchase lots of really great pieces within the collection. the site also has an insider looks section, which is comprised of 12 stylists for women and five for men. the stylists take their favorite spring 2010 theory pieces and put them together into really chic outfits that can be applied and translated by anyone. below are some of my favorite looks and the stylists who put them together.
