{outdoor} room of the day

This is the incredible patio of Celerie Kemble's 27th-floor apartment on Central Park South in NYC. Not only does it overlook the park, it's like a secret garden oasis floating in the sky. F-ing incredible, right?

wedding inspiration: peacock + acid yellow

I was flipping through Real Simple Weddings at the grocery store and was drawn to their suggestion for a peacock blue, acid yellow and white color palette. The bridesmaids dresses below are more cerulean than peacock but either way it's such a fun, fresh and modern combo, don't you think?

shower flowers

Today was baby Khloe's shower and amongst the gazillion onesies that were opened (and THE most adorable Juicy Couture pink ruffled bathing suit) were these pretty spray roses that I arranged in short, clear glass vases. Sticking to one flower in monochromatic tones kept it effortlessly simple and chic.

PS - I'm thinking the second image could look beautiful done large scale with thick white matting....

inspiration board {pink + white baby shower}

My brother's girlfriend is expecting a baby girl in the next few weeks and this Sunday is the shower. It's a pink and white theme (with tiara's in honor of the little princess!) and we're keeping it simple and inexpensive with a few pink monochromatic flower arrangements for pops of color and pretty pink cupcakes. Here's a little more inspiration:

a modern greenhouse-inspired tea party

I love this image from the late - and oh so lovely - domino magazine. The pinks and greens are really beautiful together and I like how they've mixed painted metal garden chairs with simple glass and wood accessories. Would be SO fun for a late summer afternoon bridal shower or birthday celebration...

Here are a few things that I would pull together - in addition to some pretty garden furniture, tons of pink roses and tall ferns - to re-create the look:

lovely ceramics

How pretty are the designs by this Brooklyn-based artist? I'm especially smitten with these his and her bowls. I like how her pieces are varied, but coordinate well, and would make a beautiful mixed and matched set.

so chic

i love personalized stationery because i enjoy sending little notes in the mail to friends and family and i think the personalization adds a nice extra touch. neiman marcus has a great collection of stationery and i really like the white and blue color combination in the picture below.
