old + new
I love when antiques and vintage items are used in conjunction with more modern pieces and textiles. They create interest and individuality in a space that could otherwise end up looking too 'cookie-cutter'. Designer Jill Brinson's library is a good example... I like how she's used crewel upholstered walls as a backdrop for the French writing table and old Polish factory shelves. The space is neutral, but not boring, which keeps with the rest of this Atlanta home.
