fun things:

• shop current vintage for wine, vintage clothing and jewelry and parchment for pretty stationary
• eat homemade ice cream at the juice bar
• drink at the bar at the pearl - thanks Kate! (try a cocktail with local triple eight vodka)
• enjoy an iced coffee at even keel cafe
• take a walk or bike ride to brant point (American's 2nd oldest light station)

mini getaway: nantucket

One of the best things about living in Boston is the easy access we have to so many great coastal vacation towns - this weekend I planned a surprise trip to Nantucket. We are staying at a cute little b&b right in town and I can't wait to explore and take tons of pictures. Have a nice weekend!

the George Lawrence House, Nantucket MA

Built in 1786, this typical Nantucket house was renovated to included a cathedral ceilinged Garden Room, an Office overlooking the garden, a barn board sheathed mudroom and an open studded single car garage. The Garden Room is a spirited contrast to the original house with its tall beaded board wainscoting and cathedral beamed ceiling spilling out onto a garden terrace and under a vine covered pergola.

Sounds perfect, no?
