friday home tour {converted warehouse}

I hope you enjoy this mid-20th century warehouse turned home shared by textile designer Diane Bergeron, her husband and two daughters as much as I do. I especially love the office/showroom and those incredible bookcases! I'm hoping all of this week's inspiration will carry me through the next few days so that I can get a bunch of projects done. Have a beautiful weekend all!

children's rooms {pretty in pink}

I'm weird... sometimes I hate pink and other times I love it. I do like the overload of pink hues in this little girl's bedroom. The white canopy and wallpapered focal wall add sophistication, while the pillows/toys/accessories are youthful and fun. It's a lot of pink, but really pretty, and I think an easy space to transition style-wise as the child grows up.

room of the day

I love the architectural details and the bright green walls (Farrow & Ball's 'arsenic').

chic shoe collection

I love the idea of using a vintage glass cabinet for shoes.

mixing metals

Inspired by this Elle 'first look' at 'disco-style sexiness' I started thinking about mixed metals in fashion and interiors. I think every space (and outfit) deserves a hint of glamour and sparkle. And I think when combined in the right way, silver and gold can look fabulous together. Maybe it's a girl thing, but shiny things just make me happy. {Especially on a dreary, rainy day like today}.

(I am obsessed with this space...
the built-ins and vintage coffee table=amazing)

dreamy

Today was an off day... so I'm hoping that these four images will inspire a more beautiful day tomorrow. See you then {with a bit of news}.

Here are five favs from the October issue to start off the week.

I love the white against this grassy green - so fresh.
The floors are beautiful too.

Great fireplace...
I especially love the mirror (from The Old French Mirror Co.)
and the antique chandelier.

The wall and tub finish is a mineral-based polished plaster,
which is a simple+stylish alternative to tile
(and I love the natural, antique white color).

Cool Tavistock footstool, upholstered in
Orissan fabric (98GB/meter).

A dressing room for the modern romantic...
a gorgeous chaise, pretty layered drapes and a
cool marble side table (Pierre Charpin for Ligne Roset).
