timeless fashion - water for elephants

i read this book and loved it so i'm definitely looking forward to seeing the movie as well as robert pattinson's face. i'm equally obsessed with anything that takes place in the 20s or 30s because it just seemed like such a glamorous time (you know, minus the great depression and all). besides the storyline, the costumes in this movie are a big part of why i want to see it, and reese witherspoon really looks the part with her wavy bob and petite, but still curvy figure.

I've always loved her, but Rachel McAdams is beyond gorgeous in the recent issue of In Style. The hair, makeup and styling for the entire shoot is TO DIE FOR and she is just completely adorable...

i will admit that i'm one of those people who has to pick an outfit the night before rather than the morning of work. if i don't, i end up frazzled and wearing something equivalent to a sweatsuit to work which probably isn't too appropriate. when i saw this on instyle, i was so excited because it would be so nice to have these tags on the outfits i've planned rather than hanging them on a nail in the wall that i've designated as the "outfit hanger".

in keeping with the menswear trend but also tying a little 20s inspiration from the new hbo show boardwalk empire into the mix, the perfect pair of high heeled booties with an oxford twist is just what my fall wardrobe calls for.

even though i was born in '84, i am definitely a child of the 90's and clueless is one of my all time favorite movies (along with everyone else i'm sure). francisco costa from calvin klein must be as well because he is now recreating the white dress featured in the movie to be sold exclusively at confederacy in l.a.
