i love getting my fashion inspiration from people i see out on the street rather than directly from magazines. i was so excited to see that elle now has a street chic video of spring looks spotted on fashionable women walking through the streets of new york city. it is a twist on their daily street chic photo blog, which is updated daily, because it features commentary from the women themselves as to what inspires them, what trends they follow, and what their must have spring items are.

The March edition of HB is all about blue. Blue is one of my favorite colors so I was psyched to see this cover in my mailbox...

My favorite images were of the mostly neutral rooms with hints of blue/blue-green in the paint, accessories or tile.

Hmm I love these ethereal images from Calla's Spring line. A little retro-modern... something you could picture Marilyn Monroe wearing in 2010. Underwire is back in a big way and I love the super feminine details, textures and silhouettes.

early spring fashion 2010 {urban outfitters}

I like the UO early spring look book a lot. I don't always love their clothes - I do love the silk floral blouse below! - but the styling, photography and layout here is really nice. I love all the soft colors and the retro vibe - both in the fashion and interiors. UO does offer some cool home stuff too - which I've talked about here before. Check out this blouse, this bag, this girly shower curtain, and this rug.
