pretty little office

Working for two small businesses I'm always thinking about home office and studio design. I think it's so important to create a workspace that motivates you and makes you happy every single day. I love this greek key bordered rug from Ballard and am dying to use it somewhere (although I wish it came in more colors!). I think the mossy green and iron and wood desk create a nice balance with with the brass light fixtures, pink zigzag and tufted loveseat. I picture gorgeous, floor to ceiling, built-in bookshelves and trimmed out pelmet boxes in this pretty little room as well...

Today I'm loving the vintagey-organic workspace of the event-styling business bash, please (as seen in the new issue of Rue). I love being introduced to creative, small businesses (and woman-owned!) - their work is beautiful and great inspiration.

I've been meaning to post more of these images because Suzanne Kasler's office is to die for (I used it for a room of the day post a while back). I love the airy white + beige palette and the organization/storage is incredible.
