i seriously want to jump into a j.crew catalogue and live in it forever. their collections just keep getting better and better. or maybe i could just be jenna lyons? that would work too.

These shoes from j.crew. Now that it's finally nice out I need a new wardrobe. I refuse to turn 26 (1 month and 1 day away!) with what's currently in my closet.

dream dressing for work

if i could wear anything i wanted to work without worrying about hr guidelines and the appropriate "look" for the finance world, this is what i would wear. these outfits have the right mix of high fashion and effortlessness without seeming too over the top...now if only i could get away with looking this cool at work.

a little bit of color...

even though it's officially spring, the warm weather really doesn't start in boston until mid-april. it's time for some color to cheer me up and i'm really loving kate spade's new arrivals and especially her ad campaign with bryce dallas howard. it has just the right amount of color to perk me up on another typically dreary day here!

everytime a new season is approaching, i like to compile a little wishlist of the things i would love to have in my closet. since i'm not made of money, (hardly any actually), it doesn't mean i'll buy everything on my list, but it gets me excited about creating new outfits to accomodate the changing weather. here are a few of my favorites for spring...

i'm having a love affair with the combination of dark blue and any shade of yellow. i'm not sure what it is about the two colors together but i love it. give me mustard, ochre, chartreuse, amber or saffron...i can't get enough!

spring trends to try

i can't even begin to think about spring since it's been a pretty long and cold winter so far but there are some trends that i definitely can't wait to try once it gets a little warmer outside.

menswear seems to always be on trend, whatever the season, but for spring the trend takes a more modern approach with a minimalistic twist.

prints, whether geometric or floral, are a good way to jazz up an otherwise boring outfit.

wearing color seems like such an easy thing to do but for some reason, i still gravitate toward greys and blacks. i would definitely love to start incorporating a little pop of color into each of my outfits.

We're getting more snow/ice tonight in Boston - I'm definitely becoming seasonally depressed! Even though I know it's months away...I'm dying for warmer weather and pretty little spring dresses.

loving gucci right now

i've been completely useless and haven't really done many spring 2011 fashion week posts lately but one show that has stuck in my mind was gucci in milan. i am totally loving the seventies vibe it has going on and although i don't wear a ton of color, i'd love to get out of my comfort zone this year and try something new.
