friday home tour {converted warehouse}

I hope you enjoy this mid-20th century warehouse turned home shared by textile designer Diane Bergeron, her husband and two daughters as much as I do. I especially love the office/showroom and those incredible bookcases! I'm hoping all of this week's inspiration will carry me through the next few days so that I can get a bunch of projects done. Have a beautiful weekend all!

feeling gray {in a good way}

I spent the better part of my day today at Ikea looking for a few things for my house. I couldn't help but be distracted by my favorite neutral of the moment - gray. It was everywhere! Not surprising seeing as it's a hugely popular color right now. I bought a few things (like these silver frames) and I hope to share some new 'bellevue' pics tomorrow. PS - how awesome are these prices?!?

ribba frame $7.99

anita curtains $29.99
(these don't look like much here but they have a subtle
texture/pattern which is pretty up close... and this dark gray
is very enveloping & calming - very nice for a bedroom,
don't you think?)

sanela pillow cover $15
(LOVE this... velvet and so comfy)

felicia throw $9.99

cecilia fabric $5.99/yard

alvine rand rug $149

alvina trad duvet $14.99
(an interesting, 'splattered' pattern)

textile tuesday

Inspired by trips to Turkey and Uzbekistan, Martyn Lawrence-Bullard's first fabric line blends traditional designs with contemporary color palettes. There are seven patterns (Sultan's Suzanni, Bodrum, Sultan's Garden and Bodrum Stripe, shown,) all printed on beautiful Irish Linen. I love these used for pillows/bench cushions on built-ins in an outdoor space. I'm thinking pergola... candle lanterns... huge planters w/tons of greenery and flowers... layered rugs...

textile designer: madeline weinrib

I was recently introduced to the work of the fabulously talented textile designer, Madeline Weinrib. Madeline started out creating modern rugs based on classic, vintage prints, and has expanded her NY showroom (6th floor ABC Carpet & Home) to include limited edition chairs, pillows, clutches and other beautiful items. I love the way she uses vintage textiles in some of her work as well. Find out more about Madeline here.
