an outdoor room

We have a tiny shared patio space in the back of our apartment where we keep our grill and a small table and chairs. I haven't been able to put much work/money into it, but I would love to get some potted plants and lanterns so that we can enjoy coffee out there on the weekends or cocktails at night. I can't wait for the day when we have our own house with a huge deck/porch where I can design the most beautiful outdoor room. For now I pulled together a few pretty outdoor pieces, inspired by this gorgeous image (left) from the recent Lonny.

My Dash & Albert tote from last summer...

slowly but surely

I ordered these Dash & Albert rugs for the new apartment last week and I'm patiently waiting for them to arrive. We've been in our new place for a month now and are both so busy that it has been difficult finding time to get everything done (or blog for that matter). Erin's post about Homegoods gave me some hope that I will find cute stuff there this weekend so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed until then!

PS - I did buy two large black and white floral prints from Homegoods last week that I love... but have no idea what I'm going to do with yet. I'll share some pics soon.

save me from the rain!!!!

It's been pouring for days and days and I can't stand it. I'm about to lose my mind! Thank goodness for cheery spaces like this one. I love how they've only wallpapered one wall, it makes a nice statement that way. The bedding is really pretty too (from Sears... took a quick look but didn't find it).
