I have a few decorating projects underway, one of which is a guest bedroom - soon to be my spare office space - at my parent's house. The room is pretty small (about 11x11) and in putting together inspiration photos for the space, and discussing with Casey, we came up with the idea to paint vertical stripes on the walls (for visual interest and to make the room feel larger). I chose a very neutral, sandy/beige color palette - putting the slightly darker color in a semi gloss finish to create some dimension & texture. It has taken me weeks to finish the painting (seriously, a huge project for someone like me who has minimal painting experience) but I really like how it came out. And it does feel bigger! Stay tuned in the coming weeks for final pictures of this space...
