Photographer Brian Vanden Brink is commonly known for the beautiful images he creates of perfect houses for design magazines. His book, Ruin (Photographs of a Vanishing America,) does quite the opposite - featuring abandoned houses, gas stations and mills, all that have been forgotten and left to fall apart. It's described as a 'haunting' yet 'marvelous,' and as someone who loves old homes and to photograph vintage things, I can't wait to add this to my book collection.
